    Is this an '85 LS60?

I'm not 100% sure if it's the original bridge... Bridge pickup measures 8.05K

Who did replicas of the 1956 goldtops (brown back, p90 PU's)

Burny RLG-60 looks very promising: http://www.k4.dion.ne.jp/~yjibika/FernandesRLG60.html But it seems to be multi-piece back. How much does it really matter to sound if it's solid back? I have a 1985 Tokai LS80 and I'm not sure if it's multipiece (transition year for LS80), if it is, it's a...

Who did replicas of the 1956 goldtops (brown back, p90 PU's)

Thanks! So Tokai also did version with P90's? Correct me if I'm wrong, the P90 is both longer and less wide than a humbucker? I mean, I can't fit an P90 in a humbucker goldtop without modifactions. Answer to self, I found another one on tokaiguitar.de as well...

Who did replicas of the 1956 goldtops (brown back, p90 PU's)

I am really interested in finding another vintage MIJ guitar. This time I'm looking for a goldtop. As far as for Tokai's, I've only seen the ones with humbucker pickups. Did Tokai make any goldtops with brown back and P90's? If not, who did? Orville, Greco, Burny, Navigator? I'm talking about...

    LS-80 (1985) with no-name humbuckers and "50" stic

yes they were nice =) i have a recipe for aging screws so I will age the new ones... If you live in Sweden, go to Clas Ohlson and buy "L?dv?tska" ("solder fluid"). 1-2 hour and the top of the screw will look nicely aged.

    LS-80 (1985) with no-name humbuckers and "50" stic

I took a few more photos today because I got the faber hardware. Photos of pickups included... I noticed I need new screws for the pickup rings. Hopefully it won't be hard to find those screws... I want to play guitar this weekend with the new faber locking studs and tailpiece, and abr bridge...

    LS-80 (1985) with no-name humbuckers and "50" stic

Which models had tops that look like this one? Most Tokai's I've seen have flametops and I don't quite like that as much as the one in this picture of my guitar: Also, FYI, I will probably get the Faber hardware this week. When I install them I will take more pictures of the guitar in...

help to id a 1985 ls now with pictures

Hi! I posted a thread about my LS-50? (1985) Tokai Love Rock as well... confusing specs. Guess everything was pretty random around 1985 because you're the third people I've seen that has a Tokai with a 50 sticker on it but doesn't seem to be strictly a ls50. For whatever it's worth, here's...

    Relic hardware (Faber hardware etc)

I placed an order. However I bought the non-locking version of the ABR bridge because the extra Euros and the look of the locking bridgedidn't feel right at the moment. I bought the locking studs and lightweight tailpiece as well. Everything in Aged Satin Matt, well, hopefully, I wrote that as...

New electronics, pot sizes, long/short shaft?

Hi! I've been looking into the fake58 50's wiring harness for some time now: http://fake58.co.uk/G%20electrics.htm Those are CTS pots. However, I think I've read on the Thursday's Burst (relicing of a Tokai Les Paul) that CTS pots had a larger diameter so you needed to make the holes bigger...

    Relic hardware (Faber hardware etc)

I will contact him. The bridge, I noticed you bought the locking ABR. It's a little bit more expensive and I don't quite like the look of it. But aside from that, I want to hear your opinion about the locking, does it fit solid? Because I've often noticed that the holes in bridges have quite...

    Relic hardware (Faber hardware etc)

Do you remember what aging that was? Aged Satin Matt Aged Light Aged Heavy Can't decide if I'm gonna go for Aged Satin Matt or Aged Light... Nice guitar!

    Relic hardware (Faber hardware etc)

Hi! I still have the original Tokai bridge and tailpiece but I replaced it with a GOTOH tuneomatic and lightweight tailpiece which I has done some aging on. However, the aging from Faber hardware as well as Faber tailpiece locking studs makes me want to replace hardware again. The hard part...
