Just bought a used LS-75Q that is a beauty and sounds and plays incredible! It's got significant mods...probably better than any Gibson Les Paul I've ever owned (the count stands around 7 now...mostly custom shop rigs).

Only one problem, the headstock is cracked and there are stress lines where the new machine heads were installed. I've got some extra cash, and I'd like to get the headstock re-finished and refaced to make the package complete...does anyone know if I can secure a Tokai headstock veneer from a Tokai dealer? Heck, I don't even know if it has a veneer, or if the logo is just dropped into the mahogany headstock and painted black. Do they use a fiber board veneer or ebony?

I've got some old Gibson headstock boards that I could put on, but I would rather replace with the Tokai...is there anything like that available?

:-?
