Hi guys, was wondering if you could help me with my most recent purchase?

Just bought this goldstar off ebay for ?223.00 and should recieve it in a few days, was wondering what sort of year it is and also how genuine she is, also is she Jap made? I know the pics are not that clear but when she arrives i will post better ones!

Thanks very much in advance,

Wayne

That's sure pretty,
Take the neck off and snap some pics of the numbers on the neck butt also if you feel so inclined take the pick guard off and see what numbers is stamped there- example neck butt (6=7) example control Cavity (6=5 GS V)
If it has an equal sign between the numbers most probably mid eighties if it has a hyphen between the numbers definitely after that.
Should have final prospect string saddles- probably has "U" or "E" greybottom pickups or ??-

Thanks Ochay, I have new pics, im concerned that she dont have a serial on her neck plate? Do you personally think that she looks a good genuine model?

The owner said that she is completly unmarked and 100% genuine! But i always have doubts when making a purchase from ebay!

Soon as she gets here i will do what you said!

Again many thanks

Wayne, the only way to be 100% sure is to>>

No ser# just means someone took the Tokai Neck plate-No biggie if the numbers match on the body and neck butt

My new Breezy:

doesn't have a serial number either. I was under the impression that the later models didn't have?

?223 is a pretty good price though. Let us know what it's like, when it arrives. :p

**** Strat she looks a beauty mate,

I will let you know asap what she is like, sure everything will be cool, feel better knowing about yours not having a ser#

Cheers

Bring it along to our little convention/get together early next year:

You'll be able to try other Tokais and related stuff, indluding a few high end guitars, I hope. If you're interested, post in the convention thread above so that we have all the details of people who hope to attend in one convenient place.
