Herb endorsed these for aboyt 10 years and actually played them as well.

So basically it's the dimension of an ES-175 with appointments from the L5 and Super 400. I've read up on them, they were made at the Matsumoku plant. I'm pretty sure that's the name of the rat that taught the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles all those cool karate moves. But seriously... people now realize that the Japanese guitars coming out of this plant in the 70's are often quite good.

So I bought it today, it will be here Friday. I'd been wanting a fullsize electric archtop to string up with flatwounds for home comping since my Gibson Country Gent and Gretsch 6120 are working guitars with roundwounds and I can't afford to re-string those every other day. So we'll see, but I just wanted to show this one off.

What do you guys think? Any of you ever play one of these? Here's a little comparison I made up showing pix of the actual Aria I bought next to the Gibson models that it borrows from.

That guitar caught my eye also. Is that the one that went for about $770.00
on Ebay?I'm curious to see how it compares.
