does anyone know if ANY of the 80's japanese guitars had these too...I wouldn't have thought so ....but i wondered if anyone knew for sure...

hehe just another + point for your old japanese copy...
 
Don't know about the old ones but there is some question as to whether the Edwards Jimmy Page models are chambered because of their light weight - most people you ask including our friends in Japan swear that they are solid. Most I've seen are under 8 pounds - mine weighs in at about 7.5 so I'm dubious.

I've said it half in jest but I'm tempted to take it to the airport and run it thru the Xray for the definitive answer.....
