Just found an interesting site about the effects chain system that Pete Cornish built for Jimmy Page:

Well spotted! Pete's full site can be viewed at www.petecornish.co.uk
I have been using Pete's guitar cables for some time now and am absolutely delighted with them. They are built to last a lifetime and so are worth every penny. I wonder how many cheap cables you would go through compared to one Pete Cornish? I also didn't think that a cable would produce a noticeable change in my sound. The best way I can describe it is that the tone became fuller and less strained.

Happy playing!
