When trying to identify my old H?fners, I came across these great sites that have been mentioned before in another context:
http://www.provide.net/~cfh/hofner.html
http://www.vintagehofner.co.uk/cont.html
Here's a rather new forum with helpful fans:
http://www.hofners.co.uk/
It seems that my H?fner archtop is the 465 model with three 511 pickups, ebony fingerboard with rosewood stripes and inlays and herringbone purfling around the top, f-holes, sides and back. The top is laminated spruce, sides and back are rosewood. Here's a quite similar model from an Australian dealer:
My guitar is probably a bit older than that, early to mid '60s. 8)
