Over the years I have been looking for the ultimate Strat CLONE- I have had Springy's, Goldstars, Silverstars from Tokai- I remember the first '54 Greco clone.
That was the first Clone that nails the early 50's strat down to the feel/sound- aged (nickel plated) hardware- KILLER pickups and the Necks are the Phatest I had ever felt until I bought a Fender Cunetto Custom Shop Mary Kaye Stratocaster.
I basically sold all my '56-7 Goldstar Clones(except 1) and have kept the Greco '54 PHAT Necked Strats- The sound on the pickups really nailed the Nasal Strat sound form the early 50's-Greco really nailed these fiddles as a CLONE.

well... It's pretty normal as Kanda Shokai is the company in charge of producing the fender japan stuff AND the owner of the greco brand. Actually it's the same guitars with different logos on the headstock ...
I wonder if there is a brand that Greco didn't copy perfectly... :D
