Very nice Peter, thanks for posting!
Are you sure vol 3 is from 1980? It is dated november 1979 and also speaks of the release of several new models on nov 1 1979.
Vol 4 is dated march 1981. So there's gap from nov 1979 to march 1981. Would love to know if there exists a special edition from 1980!
What is the date on vol 2 Peter?

- Jacco,
now you understand why I've chasing a Vol 2 and Vol 9 all these years'
I have every catalogue to Vol 15 except for those 2.
Vol 3 is absolutely 1980. The whole design, photos, everything was new inside. New models were introduced, and it was a big fold out bugger rather than Vol 1 and 2's book style.
I know Tokai Music Aust would receive catalogues from Japan one or two months before Christmas to have our dealers be ready for the New Year.
All our guitars and pianos had to be ordered 6 months in advance according to the production schedules.
The Car Industry does the exact same thing, which is where the ModelYear came from.
regards
Peter Mac

hi guys,
These are 2 different supplements. The Springy is from 79/80 and is listed Reborn Old but the one with the 1978 date is Tokai Les Paul Reborn - not Reborn Old. LPR were being made in April 1978.
To my mind that is correct.
In line with Volume 1 Catalog, this supplement could very well be the equal 1st supplement produced ( there is a Springysound one from the same era). I have a copy of it somewhere....
