So there was I, thinking that the Home Recording section was a little under-utilised, and then I thought, how about a thread where you can post (if you dare) a link to where you have put your music on the net.

As it's on a site dedicated to a particular piece of equipment, here's a list of the gear that I use to come up with the recordings.

Athlon 2600XP, 1Gb, Cubase VST 5.0 & M-Audio Delta 44 soundcard
Alesis SR16 Drum Machine
PODxt
Tokai Love Rock LS70F
Ibanez 2619 Artist ('79)
Ibanez IC200 ('7
Fender Jazz Bass (Mex) although various others were used on the various recordings, from StingRay's to old an Aria Pro II bolt neck SB.

As I've come up with the idea, I should really lead the way, so, here's the link for my stuff:

http://stage.vitaminic.co.uk/main/misericorde2

WARNING: It may not be for everybody, they're a bit, erm, on the heavy side.

Please feel free to add links to your own stuff/criticise/generally take the mick/etc.

This page has a clip that feature my 79 LP Reborn and a Tokai Sound Stream - the article says Fender Strat but it's really the Sound Stream.

Pretty cool pedal too.

If you click on the button to my homepage, you're right there. As far as I remember, the only track where I used my LS 60 with Shaw PAFs and the Bassman + Marshall combination is the first one, i.e. "Nasty Dogs and Funky Kings" from ZZ Top. The other tracks are older, so I probably used the Ibanez Musician, the ES-335 copy or the self-built Strat with the Mesa Boogie head and Marshall or 1x12 EV cab on them except for "GTI-Bluezz" which is a H?fner semi-acoustic set up for slide playing, see the Bluezz Bastardzz Myspace player for both tracks.

Interestingly I've never used my 1969 Bluesbreaker combo for any recording yet, only the speakers now and then.

[Later...]
OK, memory came partially back , so I listed the guitars, amps and cabs uses for the 12 demo songs in this thread on Grailtone.com:

[Edit]OK, to shorten this post: All of the mentioned tracks are either available on our homepage playlist or at Myspace. Furthermore I always use the Mesa Boogie head with Thiele cab on all our live videos on Myspace or Facebook.

These "new" tracks from 1995 were all done with the '62 Bassman head over two Celestion G12H30 blackbacks (55Hz bass cone from the mid '70s) in the '71/'72 Marshall cab and my '84 LS60 with Shaw PAFs. I was using the Normal channel with Volume on 10, Treble and Bass on 0 and Presence somewhere at 5 back then.

The rest has been done with the '79 Mark IIB and either a combination of two original G12M25 greenbacks and two G12H30 blackbacks in the Marshall cab as well as two original G12H30 in the '69 JMP 50 plexi combo or with a 1x12" EVM-12L vented Thiele cab. I should also mention that Bluezz Bastardzz is a ZZ Top cover band, so don't expect the usual Mesa Boogie sound from those songs. Furthermore I tuned its tone control capacitors and resistors to my taste (less boomy etc.).

By the way, each time you hear an echo or chorus, it comes from my Roland RE-501 which uses a tape for the echo effect. The reverb is either the natural sound of our old huge rehearsal room (e.g. GTI-Blues) or an Alesis MidiVerb II. Maybe I should mention that the older recordings were done with two simple audio cassette recorders, one for the backing tracks, one for the guitar and vocals.

    1. Nasty Dogs & Funky Kings (ZZ Top) '62 Bassman head, '71/'72 Marshall cab with two Celestion G12H30 55Hz blackbacks, '84 Tokai Love Rock LS 60 with Gibson Shaw PAFs
    2. Beerdrinkers & Hellraisers (ZZ Top) same as above
    3. Thunderbird (ZZ Top) same as above
    4. Just Got Paid (ZZ Top) same as above
    5. Sharp dressed men (ZZ Top) same as above
    6. Legs (ZZ Top) same as above
    7. Pincushion (ZZ Top) same as above
    8. Live medley (mono excerpt from video track: Arrested for driving while blind, Ein Loch in der Tasche, Swingtown, Mit 18 ) '79 Mesa Boogie Mark IIB with 1x12" EVM-12L Thiele cab, '81 Tokai LS120 with Super Distortion clone at the bridge and Gibson P-94 at the neck
    9. Cheap Sunglasses (ZZ Top) Mark IIB, EV cab, Tokai LS60
    10. Fool For Your Stockings (ZZ Top) same as above
    11. El Diablo (ZZ Top) Mark IIB, Marshall cab and combo, self-built Strat with three Seymour Duncan SSL-1
    12. Manic Mechanic (ZZ Top) Mark IIB, EV cab, Tokai
    13. Sie liebt nicht mich, sie liebt mein Automobil (ZZ Top, translated) Mark IIB, Marshall cab, Strat
    14. Buncha Loud Boogie (Michael Katon) Bassman, Marshall cab, H?fner Club 40 semi-acoustic with Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck at the bridge
    15. GTI-Blues (David Lindley's Mercury Blues, translated) Mark IIB, Marshall cab and combo, H?fner Club 40, original "513" mini-humbucker neck pickup
    16. Alte Autos & Rock'n Roll (Bauer, Garn & Dyke) Mark IIB, Marshall cab and combo, Ibanez Musician + Mark IIB, 1x12" EV cab, Tokai LS60
    17. Sexy (Marius M?ller-Westernhagen) Bassman, Marshall cab, Tokai LS60
    18. Lady (Marius M?ller-Westernhagen) Mark IIB, EV cab, Tokai LS60
    19. Every Breath You Take (Police) Mark IIB, Marshall cab and combo, Strat
    20. Swingtown (Steve Miller Band) Mark IIB, Marshall cab and combo, Strat
    21. Es geht wieder los (Rodgau Monotones) Bassman, Marshall cab, Tokai LS60
    22. Schade, schade, schade... (Rodgau Monotones) Mark IIB, EV cab, Tokai LS60
    23. Kashmir (Led Zeppelin) feat. me messin' with unplugged LS120 and Audacity's effect modules

Here's the link to the pickup comparison in the Announcement section with my LS120 which has several samples for each pickup and was done at home with the Boogie and Thiele cab at bedroom level.

Here is my recording gear set up

Samplitude Classic V8 recording software
delta 1010 soundcard
5 EH 12Ay7 pre amps
presonus headphone amp
RODE NT1A
AT3035
pair of Oktava M-012 pencil condensors
2 - AKG C414's

You can hear the results here. The electric guitar songs are with a MIK toki E 60. Everything is live, I mainly do a real 1 man band- bass, snare, high hat, guitar, harp on a rack, vocals. I call my music spontobeat. I make up the words and music as I go along. There are around 500 songs on the site. Walter

Here's my band's website (lots of mp3's, but it tends to lock up after you load the first one):

Here's our myspace page (better live stuff):

Cool. Saw you guys play with Hawkwind many moons ago. Good to hear you're back on the scene!

New recordings (with the Tokai of course) are on our Myspace page. The amp is a British built Matamp.

Here's a new video from our gig at Hein & Bea's Scheune ("In the barn...") on the isle of Fehmarn on Nov 24th, 2007 where we started with ZZ Top's "Thunderbird".

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=29169607

It's in black & white, because the digicam has a "coolness" switch that is automatically triggered when detecting such content. And of course it's "captured as it came down - hot, spontaneous, and presented to you honestly, without the assistance of studio gimmicks."

I have also embedded this video on our main Myspace site in the "Sounds like..." section, so you should be able to see it there as well. Please tell me if not.

Oh yes, the guitar is my 1984 LS60 with Gibson Shaw PAFs, the amp my Mesa Boogie Mark IIB.

I uploaded 15 almost new Bluezz Bastardzz live videos to our MyspaceTV and YouTube channels where you can comment and vote them if you have an account there:

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.channel&channelid=120299811

I'm still using the same gear as usual, i.e. Boogie Mark IIb, Thiele cab, Roland Echo and Tokai LS60 with Gibson Shaw PAFs.

Tried the link but keep saying broken I like HEAVY so I really wanted to check it out. Will try and get some of my stuff online as soon as I'm happy with it, figured out my new toy, learn how to post music online.

Tokai Custom Edition (the one that looks like a Jackson dinky)
Zoom 4040 effects board
Yamaha DD55c Electric drum kit
Samson vocal mic
Marshall mini stack
and the new toy Boss BR600 digital recording station
My stuff is a bit heavy, well it makes Motorhead sound like a church choir anyway.
