Well, not too surprising really, though I can't see why anyone would want one of those Charvels over a Wolfgang. But then, maybe Ed's return to his 'old guitar' will also mean he'll start making music again like he did in the early eighties. For some reason, "Panama" just sounds much better to me than "Up For Breakfast"

I'm still looking for a nice Wolfgang (Special) or MM Axis by the way, so if anyone has one for sale please let me know.

Arthur,

I've got a MM Axis SS and it is one sweet guitar. Completely different sound than my Love Rocks.

Glad to hear the Axis sounds so different from your Love Rocks! For a short time, I wasn't sure an Axis or Wolfgang would be a good choice, as my only other electric at the moment is my Love Rock (ie. also a dual-humbucker setup)

I made up my mind when, during a visit to one of Europe's largest guitar stores about a week or two ago, the MusicMan guitars really stood out to me: great feel and seemingly really well built. Especially the necks that really blew me away. I liked them even more than the Wolfgang (which was a close second). The only available amp, at the time, was a small Tech21 practice amp, so I could only get an impression of the plugged-in sound. The feel and acoustic sound already had me convinced by that time.

So since then I've been keeping a close eye on eBay (dollar/euro-ratio is too good to be true for us Europeans), and I was actually outbid in the last five seconds on a very nice green Axis. Not a lot of nice other Axis or Wolfgangs have popped up in the last few days, unfortunately.

Check the forums on www.ernieball.com sometimes Axis go up for sale their and never hit ebay. Sounds like you got sniped on the green one.
