On the backside of the headstock there is: 9504014.

Under the neck pickup, on the body there is:

S-86
LS-70

Thanks in advance

I'm assuming this is a Tokai lp copy?

It would be and LS-70, made in 1995. Is there anything else you wanted to know? Pictures would be helpful.

Year - 1995
Model - LS-70

Dating a LS series
http://www.tokairegistry.com/tokai-info/tokai-gibson.html

Model from 1995 catalog
http://tokairegistry.com/images/catalogs/v1807.jpg

Full 1995 catalog
http://tokairegistry.com/catalogs.html#volume18

Just so you know the model # is year or time period specific. A LS-70 cost 70,000 yen. A ls-100 cost 100,000 Yen. So, a ls-70 from 95 is equivalent to a ls-150 or so of today (2018).

I saw the photos of the catalog but on my guitar headstock there is written Gibson instead of Tokai!
My liutist suppose that my guitar is older than Ď95 because it seems that in Ď80ís for few months Tokai had produced Gibson copies with Gibsonís logo.
Then because of legal problems Tokai stopped... Could it be true?

No, this is a lie, it never happened.

This is a 1995 Tokai guitar. Someone has taken a fake Gibson logo and put it on the front of the headstock.

I did not mention that cause I though that was a given. That is a common thing people do with quality MIJ guitars replace the logo with a Gibson logo. Well not super common but you see then pop up every so often. My guitar set up guy has a Edwards with a Gibson redone logo.

Is it a home relic deal ?? I've never seen crazing like that on a Tokai guitar. Especially on a '95.

Do not quote me on this cause I may be wrong. I know the premium guitars have everything pots included MIJ. Then lower end models...? I think do not but I could be wrong.

The China SNs start with C then numbers. Not sure about the Korean ones but I do not this they are the same sequence and the MIJ ones.
Yeah, that nitro looking cracking is weird. I really did not look at the guitar front pictures much. I saw a bunch of cracking on the headstock. I though it was just a crappy finish. That is the type of thing you see on a 60s or so guitar. Like a old Fender but not something from the 90s. Maybe it was sitting in a window display for several years at a music store. Though I would think the non-premium guitars would not have a nitro finish and a poly so no cracking. That one is weird.

How many pieces is the back of the body? Look at the strap on the bottom you can see on the bottom and the top where the strap goes and where the arc is. From looking at the back it can be really hard to tell sometimes. They do a very good job blending them in.

"Store" has probably ripped you off. Not a Gibson. !995 Tokai LS-70. Should be made in Japan pots. Harness swap out ?

Did you pay a Gibson price for it?

My guitar setup guy is going to remove the last paint layer to discover the original condition of the guitar. I will post new photos.
For the moment thank you all for your kindness.

How long ago did you buy it? If you thought it was a Gibson then you probably paid a lot more than you should.
