I had a new guitar day a couple of weeks ago thanks to snakeyhips. I've finally got around to taking some photos and I'd love to know some more history on her as I know several of the forum members have owned her. I'd be even happier to find dates, names you gave her, bands she's played in and as an extra bonus any photos you have of her in action.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Fantastic looking guitar.
I'm not one that owned her before but I'd sure like to be the next! _________________ I heard they threatened Tokai with a lawsuit, but they never got to Cort? |

I used to own this one for around a decade. I got her from Mark when he lived in Balham and I went on the tube the Sunday after the London bomb attack to get her. I was nervous but she was worth it. Played at many jam nights in pubs around Essex and in several bands. Much admired and played by others along the way. Went to France for a while too. It sure got played a lot. I always wondered if it was definitely nitro? What do you think? I had a Duncan Antiquity in the bridge for a long time. I was just thinking about it yesterday as a matter of fact. Say hello for me! 🐸 |

Yep it definitely felt like and behaved like nitro
I bought her from Spikeymikey i believe in 2013 and owned her for maybe a year. I had an LS100 flamey at the same time and sold her on to keep the 100, which was the right thing for me at the time. I don't own an LP currently and am trying out more teles and strats, but would always go tokai in the future |

Mono, spikey - thanks for the info.
Spikey - who's the mark you bought it from?
Spikey/Mono - I'd love to get hold of some photos of you playing it in any of your bands. Especially if it made it to France.
I'm no expert on nitro finishes, but my mate Bryn who loves his guitars says all the Tokai LPs of that vintage are nitro and I just took a good look at it (I do that a lot) and you can see that it's very slightly sunk into the grain if that helps. |

Ah mark (villager) the beauties on your site and your comments on this forum are two of the main reasons I ended up with a Tokai. Now where did you get this guitar from?
I really must come up with a name for her..... |

Helena it is then.
I'll get a photo of the control cavity later but I did have to resolder the caps!
