HI all!,
I just won this beautiful old Love Rock (and wow am I excited)!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2549564364&ssPageName=ADME:B:BN:US:1

I think I got a pretty good deal as well..... however,

The serial number starts with "4" making it a 1984, but I have looked on this site, and I don't seem to be able to tell whether it is a LS-60 or a TLS-50. Am I missing something?

I don't really care either way, as I have a GOOD feeling about this guitar, but it would like to know how to tell.

Thanks very much!

My 1984 TLS-50 goldtop has zebra humbuckers otherwise it looks exactly the same as this one. If I remember correctly I think the (T)LS-60's sold in Europe had pickups with chrome covers. I'll have a look in my '84 catalog.

Anyway, if it's anything like my '84 it'll be a great guitar, mine is! It has the TLS-80 PAF pickups for some reason (it came from the factory with these), and they sound really good.

Hi again,

Thanks for the info!

I bought this guitar from Japan, and it will be coming home here to Canada to join a pair of MM-2001 Limited Editions, a modified Tokai Tele beastie of some sort, and a Gold Top ALS58V (with the Tokai Bigsby).

It looks like I will have to do a web page on what is becoming a collection!

Even in a Tux, I will still be "Scruffy" heh heh....

Cheers,
Rob

I`ve mailed those folks before about inaccurate info they had posted on auctions. Sometimes they reply other times they don`t. If I can find info on MIJ guitars with little effort I`m certain they could as well.
