I'd like to buy a Gibson ES335 style guitar, and am currently looking at Tokais.

If I hang on for a second hand model, I could probably afford a UES 130 here in the UK.

However, if I buy new, I could get a UES 60 AND a Mexican Fender Tele (another guitar I'm planning on buying).

What I wanted to check was, how much "upgrading" is a UES 60 likely to "need"? Are the stock pickups in particular decent? I'm not super fussy on these things, and I do think a lot of people needlessly fuss over replacing guitar components to very little gain. Do many people stick with the stock pickups/hardware on their UES 60s? And how do they differ from the pickups in the UES135 anyway?
