Hello everyone!
Recieved this from Japan. Seller said all original except the bridge.
E-pickups with 5,7K output
Guys, what can you say about this guitar?

fabulous quarter-sawn Sen body - this is the best cut for sustain and clarity.

Overall an outstanding Springy, fantastic photos.

Yes... gorgeous. One question..... did it have some other type of tailpiece, Bigsby, etc? I ask because of the two holes in the body below the saddles.

Yeah, looks like there was some different tailpiece before. Have no info about that. Seller said bridge is not original. Now Im thinking about how to remove these holes =(

What does it weigh?

I wondering if there is any correlation between body weight and acoustic tone, which effects amplified tone?

Agreed nice looking guitar in nice shape.

Of my 3 ST's, the one that rings out most (acoustically as well as amplified) is also the heaviest.
I'm not saying it's because of the weight, it's just an observation (there are other variables).
- all 3 ash body
- all set up (sort of the same) by me
- all decked trem
- all same strings (brand and gauges)
- all same amount of springs
- all non magnetic (full size) tremblock (IIRC)
- 2 nitro, 1 poly
- 2 maple, 1 rosewood fretboard
- 2 E pups, 1 '82 Fullertons, distance to strings (sort of) the same
- 2 +30 years old, 1 as good as new
- 2 Tokais, 1 Fender (but also made in Japan)

And now after writing this down, I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with this! Never mind, (I lost enough time on it) posting it anyway. :D

Feel free to ignore!

Hi guys,

I will add this . .
This guitar is an ST-60, not an ST-80.
The lack of 'A' stamp on both body and neck shows it is not an ST-80.

Also a 2 piece body and matching neck and body codes.I would put money on it having a nitro finish too.

Now that you mention it, my recently acquired ST80 doesn't have the A stamp on body or pickguard either. I have yet to take the neck of, to see what's written there.
