|I picked up a Yamaha Studio Lord SL550 today. I think it's late 70's/early 80's but am not sure. REALLY nice condition for a guitar this old.
Took it to rehearsal and love it. Yes, I'm only into the 7th hour of my honeymoon with her, but the guitar plays, feels and sounds great. A little heavy (I'm guessing 9.5 lbs) but other than that I have zero issues.
I'm not a Les Paul conisseur but have owned and played a few. One might prefer a different neck profile or different pickups but I have a hard time thinking that there are Pauls out there that are $3K or $4K better than this one. Pics below.
If anyone has information on this model or can date it based on the serial number, please feel free to share.
