Orville by Gibson FV!

Post by Marcoshary » Sun May 11, 2014 9:05 am

Hi, I just bought a ObG FV Olympic white. It hasn't arrived yet, . It's at the customs in my country. Serial number starts with G89. It's in very good shape. Is it a very good guitar? The pickups that come in it are: Gotoh VH-2 bridge and Gibson HB-R neck. Are they good pickups? Any information? I can keep them or buy new ones? I was thinking about buying a Dean Michael Schenker Lights Out for the bridge. Any comments/suggestions? Thank you

Hi. I haven't received the guitar yet but here are some pics taken by the seller:

The original truss rod cover was removed(I don't know for which reason) by previous owner. As I can't find a Orville by Gibson cover, , I'm thinking of putting a Gibson(white and gold) one: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjgzWDEwMjQ=/ ... x3/$_3.JPG

I think I'll buy a Dean Michael Schenker Lights Out pickup for the bridge. Do you guys think I should buy it in creme-black color or all black(black-black) color? Thanks.

Here is a pic of the serial number, stating that it's a 1989 model, made in Terada factory: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjgzWDEwMjQ=/ ... x8/$_3.JPG
