What do you suggest: Gibson Classic 57(+), Gibson Burstbuckers or Dimarzio 36th Anniversary humbuckers

Any noticable difference with the orange drops? Did you keep the original pots and wiring in there?

Hi,
I kept the Original pots and wiring, perhaps in future I'll replace the wiring.
No use to change the pots, they're allways on 10........

Guitar sounds a little brighter (I think!).

Well, it wasn't expensive and it didn't cost much time, so I thought: why not?

The Stormy Mondays are very open/vintage sounding, don't know what tone you're after.
I have them in my ES-335, would look for more punch in a LP.

By the way the Reverend BFG plays 008 strings. Or even skinnier. That's due to his health. Sounds pretty mean and powerful still.
I play .046 / .010 as well but you can fool around with string tension adjustment quite a bit in setting up a LP.

Update:
I now use Gibson Les Paul Signature strings (0.09-0.46), so smooth!

New nut from Graph Tech and a set of Gibson Burstbuckers 2+3, to my humble opinion they do sound brighter than the stock pickups.

Anyone (in the neighbourhood) interested in the stock pickups?

The final version:

with Gibson historic washer, pickup mounting rings, pickguard and toggle switch cap.

Also replaced complete wiring.

Only originals are body, neck and pots.

Do your strings touch the back of the bridge?
