Here?s some pics of my LS70 ?95 just for your interest:
It has "Oak" finish and bridge pic is Gibson ?57 Classic plus
and the neck pickup is Kent Armstrong?s S905 (P90 in a humbucker cover). This KA pickup has rather ballsy tone, someone described it as single coil on steroids

Lovely top don?t you think?

Hi this looks exactly like my LS75Q 2002 model, but that was listed as HDC Heritage Dark Cherry, and I bought it New. I thought the Oak finish was much darker, and did not have the same quilting as yours which as I say looks Identical to mine.
Did you alter the nut cover?

Greg,

Pickguard came with the guitar and I installed it soon after I got it.
I have very "heavy" pick-hand, so there?s got to be a guard to protect the beautiful top!

Sync,

Yes, I know it looks same as newer LS75, because it?s exactly the same model. It?s just that tokai raised the price from 70000 jen to 75000 jen, thus the new LS75 model name. All the features are the same.
Don?t know about the finish thuogh. I have original paper-sheet which came with the guitar and it says LS-70 OAK.
Yes, I did the nut cover myself, very easy task you?ll just need
a piece of a black/white plastic.

Marko

Btw, I have one spare Gibson ?57 Classic + that I could sell if anyone?s
interested. I just happen to live in Finland... :-?
