Hi I am looking at a LS-50 (oval 50 sticker), inked 7-digit number.
3p plaintop. Single ring tuners. Uncovered
Creme pickups.
Serial starts 01.
When could this possibly have been made?
Color is cherry burst. Headstock "Love Rock Model".
THX
Gordon

Normally that would be 2001, but the serial number was impressed during that year for MIJ. Pics?

Look in the neck pickup cavity- if there is a hole on each side of the neck where it glues into the body it's a Greco made Tokai from the early eighties

He means Fujigen of course, because of the dowel tenon.
It is however the only inkie attribute that is also seen on Grecos. Routing etc is completely different. Besides that, Japanese sources talk of a second Tokai factory during the early 80s in Matsumoto.
