hi can anyone please help me ID my tokai les paul.
It was sold to me as an 83 Japanese Tokai , it has the 60 sticker on the back of the headstock and the serial is indented in the back of the headstock ? i was expecting it when it arrived
to have the love rock logo rather than the split diamond>would this make it an copy of an les paul custom and less desirable than an love rock?

Thanks in advance

Nice guitar, completely legit; a Tokai custom doens't have 'love rock' on the headstock & welcome to the forum

thanks for the prompt reply , do you know what model it is ? The finish on the guitar is quite thin and does not look like "poly " could it be nitro.

thanks again

TLC60: 2P maho top, 2 or 3P maho back, rosewood fretboard, MKII pups, poly finish. If you want to be sure if it's a poly finish, do an acetone test.

hi,
haven't been here for a long, long time. basically still in catch-up mode.

but why do you think it's a TLC 60? cause of the sticker?

pls bear with me...

cheers, rup

Is the ebay price realistic in the current market? , i have thought of importing Tokais form the states or Japan but got burnt a couple of times by customs.

Koiz is always a little bit expensive but he takes offers & marks it down for customs
