Hey, maybe you all can help me. I bought a MAKO TL-2 Les Paul copy some years back in a pawn shop. It was a Gibson LP Custom copy and a pretty decent one at that. I gave it to my son in Pittsburgh and he's been thrilled with it. As I recall it was very heavy, had good wood tone, quality frets and ebony board and the humbuckers sounded good and warm. The Mako logo was in a longhand-type script on the headstock; all in all a pretty good LP replica. I wonder if Tokai may have had a hand in this brand; it seems to have been made in Japan in the 1970s. Any ideas?
