One of the last great Mississippi bluesmen. Played with alot of people but will most be remembered as Muddy Water's piano player from 1969 on. Pinetop continued to play constantly down in Austin until his passing today.

Marcus, I don't often get to this forum which accounts for me missing this post - my youngest son had the good fortune to meet the guy and hear him play a couple of numbers with the house band whilst visiting Austin. He was struck by his 'presence'.

That's cool that he met him... Pinetop was a lovely person in addition to one of the last delta blues greats.
