How common are the Tokai Standard LP with P90?

Not common at all. togps came out with a limited run of them along with the 54 goltop with the wrap tailpiece.... in fact, it might have been a 54 with a sunburst finish.... don't remember.

I think those have been added to the current Tokai lineup but I might be wrong.

There have always been P90 gold tops. Current & none special order goldtops are here.

When he said standard Les Paul with P90's instead of goldtop (obvious), I assume that he means a non goldtop Les Paul.

Which is it Koub?

Its a black P90 LP Standard. Just like a 54-56 (early 57 actually to be correct) but black.

Basically, its the same as a P90 Goldtop but original black.

Cool... I've never seen a Tokai like that. Edwards makes (or made) one here:

Its a cool piece but are these common or??

I don't even know if its Japanese. I got this pic and a very low price so I thought it was worth it to take a chance.

Looks Korean, and possibly a refinished goldtop. Nice looking guitar though, needs some new (old) knobs

For 50? it doesnt matter :D

But it has a seven digit serial number starting with 06...

If you want to turn it round for a quick 100% profit I'll take it off your hands

Hang on...I just re-read the mail and it seems it has only a 6 digit serial number.

And the bridge adjustment screws really screams non-Japanese.
I also ust asked the seller about the bell plate and it is attached with three screws (China-Korea desho).

Lesson learned: watch pic and read text more carefully next time :D

Still if that's all you paid it'll look great on the wall! :D

Just saw now I wrote 50...one zero lost: 500?...
My conclusion is that it is Chinese or Korean...
What do you think.

Not such a bargain then :(

Six digit SN, in small type probably, my guess is Chinese
