That's a strange one. The 1978 catalog features only Customs with three pickups. The inlays on this one are not typical for Customs, so I'm not sure what it is.

I also haven't seen covered pups before on a 3 pup LP form that year. And the control knobs don't seem to be original.
I would like to see more pics; front headstock, back of the pups and pics of middle pup cavity.
