looking to put a simulated bone nut in 85 goldstar

what is the original goldstar nut made of? plastic?

AFAIK, the radius is 7.5 and the nut is plastic. Knowing Tokai, this may not be consistent over the years.

Hi when I refretted mine I checked radius with radius gauge and it was standard 7 and a quarter

As for the nut when you are buying them you only get 2 choices flat bottom or curved. Also don't forget the nut width and spacing. Theres usually 2 types of strat types import and american.

does any company sell a direct replacement that is also slotted? plastic? bone? whateva?

Most people say 7.5", but 7.25" is correct for vintage Fenders (theoretically) and their copies.

fender sells replacement synthetic nuts but they are calibrated to a 9.5 inch neck radius, can these be used on 7.25 tokai? if not what is a good replacement?
