Hi guys,

One of the channels on my Rivera Chubster 40 is suddenly no longer working. I did a search here bit couldn't find anything relevant. Before I approach techie guys (of which I am not) does anyone have any idea if this could be as simple as a tube needing replacing or something more serious? Sorry if this is a totally stupid question.

Any help much appreciated!

Cheers

Dave

The fact it has 5 ECC33 (12AX7) valves suggests to me that it has independent pre-amp valves for each channel, so it could well be something as simple as a duff valve!

Many thanks for the great replies. I'll investigate replacement valve(s) first. Love this forum!

Cheers

Dave

dave if there are two preamp valves swap them over first (the working channel should then be the non working) then you will know if its a valve.

There are ecc83,s I would guess 1 pre-amp and 1 phase-inverter for channel 1 and 2 pre-amp and a PI for channel 2
