Do any of you folks know if the '82 DRY's were wax potted stock? I just opened up one of mine to flip the magnet, and was surprised to find it waxed.

here's a thread I started some time ago
http://tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=15682&sid=00585e0308121756881685dba35e4b61

previous to my observations with the 'scope & the pickups, I was under the impression that the Maxon & Greco pickups with the waxy substance on the bases were not potted.

after my observations with the 'scope, I assume my previous impressions were wrong.

I now assume that basically all of the Maxon & Greco pickups that have the waxy substance on the bases are indeed potted.

I have Greco pickups with this waxy substance on the bases that date to as late as 1989 ..............
