Did Springy Sounds ever come stock with a bone nut?

Specifically ST-60's?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Cheers, Rich.

Not sure about Springys, but there is a Japanese article here that says Breezysound TE-80s had either bone or brass nuts (lower models were something else I can't read--pg22).

There is a similar (longer) article on Springys here, but I can't find any reference to nut material.

I'm not sure I'd consider nut material a reliable indicator of guitar model, as it's something that can easily be redone by a guitar tech.

If one is seeking a quality, after market bone nut, one will be paying for it.
These guys charge basically $100 for a pro cut & dressed bone nut, and they do it right 8)

When you request real bone, they use real bone, not some Corian BS plastic.............
You get what you pay for; I should know, as they have done a few for me.

What difference does a bone nut make? And were they used on old Fenders & Gibsons? It's not something I've heard mentioned much.

but then again, when it all comes down to it, it's all subjective, just like the poly vs. nitro issue, or the DRY Z vs. the whatever the flavor pickup of the day is, and balh blah blah & on & on & on ......................
