will appreciate any help

i've read all burny topics i've found online but still haven't got my answers

thanks

Have you checked out this page?

http://www.japanguitars.co.uk/burny%20info.html

Maybe you have an RLG 70? It looks like your body is 3 piece from the pics. Can you tell? I think the RLG are 2 piece bodies. Open up the control cavity and compare your wiring and pots to those pictured, or post a pic of the cavity. Just some thoughts, I may be and wrong.

Hi, thanks for the reply,

i had a good look at that page, and found this

In the 1982 catalogue something happened. Now there are no FLG?s.
All the Les Pauls are called RLG
there's a mistake on the page about the 77-78 Rlg70 which is in fact an Flg

also found this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burny

this guitar was sold to me as an FLG late 70 early 80,
got the "Les Paul" Script, gibson bell shaped truss rod cover, black stamped serial number, gotoh Paf (chrome cover, metal coloured base plate and grey wire, plus 4 gold screws), Schaller style tuners
small tenon,
the control cavity has no foil, and looks like the 2nd picture,
i also think it has a 2 piece back and 2piece top (not sure though)
nothing written in the pickup cavities, except tb or something similar..

here's a picture with her big sister, i'll post more later

go to the fernandes japan website, there You can find catalogues from the mid to late 70?s Depending on the pickups the guitar is a FLG 70 -120

Thanks, i'm gonna get the covers off and then i'll see if they are white bobins or not,
there's no fret binding but the guitar could well have been refretted in 29 years..

she really looks like the flg 80 because of the covers
it had gold speed knobs, i've changed them for top hats.

Thanks for your help.
