I have changed thepickups ona few Tokais i've owned.
TLS-80 : I started using Duncans SH-1n&b to great effect but later changed the bridge pup to th SH-4 to better effect. The SH-4 sounds like a PAF but has more edge, smoother distortion and can be coil-tapped. The harmonics of this pickup are excellent.
TST-80 :I replaced the bridge pickup with a Duncan Hot-Rails. again it can be coil-tapped and the harmonics are brilliant. I have yet to have a person play this Strat and not comment about how the feel and sound of my guitar are better than their own Strat.
