Can someone please tell me how these three different models of guitar compare and what are the main specifications? Which is the better model?

Thanks.
Mark

A Loverock-2 is a twin-cutaway guitar not a Les Paul

"LS" is the name prefix for all Tokai LP models

Basically a Reborn is what a Loverock was called in 1979-1980 so the difference between a 1980 Reborn & a 81 Loverock is nothing but the name.

Try using the search feature at the top of the page, loads of good info you just have to find it.

JohnA, I think that the Reborns were actually just in 1978 (perhaps a bit of '79) before they became Love Rocks. Perhaps a veteran could confirm this for us.

There's some overlap during the transitions from one name to the next, isn't there?

I've got a lovely '80 Love Rock LS120 that I bought from Ochay a few months ago. Serial starts with "00", says "Love Rock model" on the peghead. I presume it was built towards the end of 1980.

You can sort of see a "ghost" outline of the original truss rod cover (which had been cut down to approximate a bell cover -- the one in the pic is a Gibson Historic cover.)

Has anyone come across this type of guitar; couldn't find anything on it via google but I saw one in a shop recently; Gibson Custom design - black with gold pickups etc. Says "Made in Japan" but I don't know anything about the woods, etc. or if it's a genuine model. Selling for ?950 (euro).

Reborns have slight different details than current made Tokais. I like both and I don?t agree about a LS-80 is better than a LS-320 in my own experience.LS-80 Reborn would be equal to a higher than LS-150 model made nowadays.

Thank you Steve. I'm quite sure the Tokai baby will find a good home...
