Anyone tried the Jim Reed LP copy's, and how do they compare to Tokai.

They are low-end guitars assembled in Vietnam and marketed by an Italian company under the brand-name Jim Reed. No real match for a MIJ Tokai.

Actually they are pretty good guitars, I've just bought a double cut model. The body and neck is mahogany and it has a flame maple top. The body actually seems to be one piece! The finish has a few minor flaws though. The neck is great with nicely finished frets. The Kent Armstrong pickups are also very good. It's better than most Korean guitars I've tried and it actually plays real well even compared to an almost ten times more expensive PRS singlecut I recently tried. I wouldn't call them low-end, they are a lot better than what you pay for them. The one I bought can be had with a Wilkinson trem at the same price (mine has a stop tail). It's also available with a Floyd Rose at a slightly higher price. Are really all models made in Vietnam?

And you know this for a fact... Where did you get this information? You are implying that the Italian company is actually telling lies about the manufacturing of the guitars. Facts, please!?
