Here's some better pics of my new to me Fernandes Revival.Anyone recognize these pickups? I don't see a center join and the color is more of a butterscotch than a Mary Kaye opaque finish. Sounds just like a strat should.
Nice quacky sound in the 2nd position(neck and middle pickup)

Sorry I can't tell you what it is, but it's not an RST-95G as discussed elsewhere, ther 95G's came with Alnico cloth wired pickups and a Vitamin-Q cap as standard.

Still a beauty though!! :D

Does the insides look like any of the older Fernandes Revivals?

You might need to pop the neck out and see if there's anything stamped in the neck cavity or on the end of the neck.

A one-piece body is usually found on only the top-end Custom-shop strats or a as a special order on Japanese strat copies (eg, Navigators or Van Zandts), but then you've got a trem and electrics from a lower-end model...weird.

Thanks Youami- Here's what was in the neck pocket. Do you know what R8
means. I guess BLD means Blonde. You can't see it in the pics, but "ST" is also stamped on there.

Quick Google search...

Check this thread out, seems to answer some questions:

Seems that Fernandes may have exported Revivals with correct Fender headstock shape to South America in the 90s called R8 Custom Body:

Maybe Custom Body explains the one piece body?

Thanks Youami- I guess that solves it. Someone must have brought it back to the U.S. from South America. Then on to Ebay. It's still a great sounding and well made guitar IMO.BTW,Howe do you get the webpage to translate into
english?

Try That

Good thanks Gabe. You're the guy who scored my 95G when I lived in Battersea, right? I'm now in the land of the long white cloud (sheep farts), but the MIJ guitar obsession hasn't ended. I've got a couple of recent additions that I'll post on later.
