Ebay UK - Not a Tokai?

Hi, Noticed this guitar on ebay. The seller claims it to be a Tokai. I don't think it is.

As a matter of interest, did Tokai produce any bolt-on necks for their Les Pauls in the early days?

There were Korean & Chinese Love Rocks with bolt on necks, I believe. I'm wondering if that thing is one of those old Avon LP copies. If it is, the Gibson decal & TRC are perhaps the most valuable parts of it!

There were plenty of old Japanese Tokai bolt-on neck models available, never tried one though.

We know you love those old Avons! :wink: Looking at the inlays I wouldn't be surprised if it was an Avon, or at least from the same factory.

Still, like the seller says, why pay ?2000 when you can get 'stunning shiny black paint' for a bargain price! :lol:
