Can anyone tell me if this pickup is the original from my 1980 Breezy TE70?

It sounds fatter & punchier than most Tokai pickups I've heard, & I wondered if it might have been replaced before I got it?

Hi Mike

Here's some photo's of the pickups in my TE-80

Look pretty similar to me, so I'd say yours are stock items :D

Here's a shot of two early eighties Tokai Breezysound bridge pickups. One marked TE- B the other TE- A

No, I don't know the difference between the A and B Stamps, but using a multimeter

TE-A = dead  - Needs re-winding

TE- B = 7.03 Ohms

Thanks Chris, looks like mine is original then. Cool. In that case, it's easily the best Tokai pickup I've tried. It only reads 7.28k, but it sounds louder than that - lots of mids. Squealed like a pig when I first got it, but a ?10 wax potting job cured that.
