It certainly does look great! Maybe you can find it at www.vintaxe.com. They have a lot of old catalogues on the site.

Correct split diamond headstock should put it in the first two years of LP Custom which I think is '85 or '86. The long-tennon is interesting though, as is the finish..... can you tell if it is factory or after-market? (Maybe a special run??). You have a winner though for sure! After giving up on LP's after going through numerous crappy 80's-90's Gibbo's, finding the Burny's and ObG's re-opened my eyes to LP's... I currently have a Burny RLC-65 and an ObG LPR-59 and both are gems.

It has not arrived yet from japan..but I just tracked it down..it s gonna be home on monday ( I hope)..
I don t know if it's an after market..and the long tennon is quite strange...but it s a pro..not a con!!!
I also switched to japanese guitar..I owned three gibson but i sold them...I did not have the highest models..I actually had two standard 98 and 2000 and a studio....my Obg custom and my tokai ls are much better.
thanks for the info...but i think it's gonna be hard to date it...it would be easier if it was a standard...
