Please do not comment on someone's initial asking price. If you are actually interested in what they are selling then contact that person directly with an offer. If you disagree with their price keep it do yourself.

Sorry to be controversial but I don't totally agree with this request!

Not knowing much about guitar prices I would be unlikely to make judgement on someone else's listing, however I would be very greatful to read a post from someone who knows the true value of a guitar I may be interested in buying - especially if the listing was priced to dupe an inexperienced buyer!

I thought the whole point of a forum was to exchange knowledge and advice?

If a seller has listed a fair price they have little to worry about IMHO.

It is but there is a right and wrong way to go about it. If you disagree with the pricing I asked that you first contact the seller to find out why they have priced an item a certain way. What I don't want are negative attacks on sellers simply due to someone on the forum who thinks the price should be lower.

Hi Ned, mate i saw the post you are referring to and i didn't think there was anything wrong with what the member said, in fact i thought the way the seller handled it was very immature. You can't keep everyone happy, forums are full of other peoples opinions and sooner or later someone is not going to like what someone else has to say, and i'm afraid thats just too bad.
All this touchy feely crap is not on , we should be able to express our opinions without being wrapped over the knuckles for doing it........Isn't this a forum..???

Mick

BTW, the spam filter is working a treat.....

Not that anyone cares what my opinion is ... but:

I tend to agree with Ned. There will always be someone who disagrees with pricing. I appreciate what another board does (The Les Paul Forum) where they don't allow any commentary. The seller must post contact method and everything is conducted in private.

Buyers always want the price to be lower

Does this apply to dealers only or private sales as well?
