I love he sound of my vox ac30 since I put in a 5y3 rectifier .. ITs sooooo saggy and spongy ...... great for my chunkachuka rythm stuff ..I am not a real virtuoso on lead , so I need a juicy spongy attack ... the 5y3 is a good option for an ac30 ..... let me know what you think about rectifiers in general and how they affect your tone tone Did you know that the signal from your guitar NEVER GOES THROUGH THE SPEAKER :roll: ,..... It took me a while to get my brain around that one
