I have bought a 1978 Greco EGC-1000
and would like some information about it and other Greco Les Paul replicas.

Have searched the internet, but with
no results. Anyone here who have links to good websites with information about Greco guitars?

I have a Greco SG Special and its a really nice guitar from around 81' Very accurate copy of the early 60's version.

Here it is:

Made in Japan 1978. One owner before me.

I found this Greco site on the net:

Anyone here who can translate the info about the EG-1000
from 1978?

:D

I got some information from the seller (if anyone is interested):

"The Greco EG-1000 is made of Maple top and Mahogany back for the body.
High end class model at that time. Neck is Mahogany 1 pcs and Ebony
for the fretboard. DRY pickups and the finish is lacquer."

the 1000 number probably means it sold for 100,000 yen originally. Not cheap at that time, so could very well be a top of the line. I sent a mail last night on a 1977 Greco strat with a big headstock in natural lacquer finish, 2 piece sen body. Should hear today, it`s the 700 series... 70000 yen.

Correct! It is the top model for that year.
