I have a lefty ATE-52 I bought on E-bay from a guy who swore it was made in Japan. Nowhere on the guitar does it say where it was made. The serial number is on the neckplate and is 23057. Any help would be appreciated.

Augustin,
On the Fender replicas I believe - still need more evidence - that the headstock and logo script are what really drive a general time period method of dating. So far it is believed (and this comes from Tokai) that serial numbers are meaningless, accept on newer Love Rocks.

Thanks for the input, I have a pic of the headstock. It's not the best, but if you could, take a peek and give me thoughts. Thanks.

Augustin,
Let me go back through my notes to see what I can find. In the meantime register that puppy in the Fender Replica database with the link to the headstock pic.
