i know this wont reach the dizzy heights of boutique amps, but as i'm getting on a bit-43- and am weary of carting around a peavey deuce vt for the last 26 years i purchased a crate powerblock for the much reduced price of ?49. my intention was to use it as a back-up, power a monitor, put a processor through and as its so flexible, a very small pa(150 watts), but when i plugged it in, i couldnt believe my ears. it has an amazing array of tones if you fiddle with the gain and 3 eqs and also has a headphone output for quiet practice. anyone got opinions on these. for the price and size-less than 5lbs- you cant fall off!!
