I read that the early LPRs had a 1 piece mahogany back. I have a 9-serial number (1979) LS50, with 50 stamped on fretboard and in the cavity but with a 2 piece back and 3 piece maple top.
All joints look original, binding discoloration matches neck/body.
Is it possible that an early LS50 could have had a 2 piece back?
Thanks! :-?
