Ned: Have you given any more thought to doing this topic as a "nuts and bolts" type article for the Registry? I think it'd be a great read, as I know little to nothing on the subject... Also, hope new job is working out for you. I'm in the process of hunting down a new one myself... |

Probably will be by next review/how to. I would like to do both pups and tuners at the same time. Need to gather the cash first, I'll also try to get some donated from Sperzel, etc.

Just picked up a set of Fender DeltaTones from eBay for my swap-out project. I have not heard these single coils, but hope they will be an improvement over the stock Tokai ones. It looks like the seller still has original directions for the installation, so I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Looks like it'd be pretty easy, but I can mess up a wet dream... |

I'm in the process of reversing said modification.
I must add however that the humbucker in the bridge position did sound good.
Too bad I hadn't known ealier as we could have swapped pups and pickguards, maybe.

Sure came in timely and was very helpful to me.
The Tokai gods were smiling on me I guess.
I sent some pics of my finished product to the Tokai Pictures Page tonight and they will probably be available to view soon as that cat gets things done.
Thanks. |
