Serial numbers on Strat copies

I?m thinking about buying a Strat copy on E-bay, no info on model number. I can see that it has a serial number on the neckplate, but can?t quite read it. The seller said that only the Japanese Strats have the serial number on the neckplate, true or not? Thanks.
 
Taint neccesarily so, I am imformed my Tokai is an AST 50 made in japan, no serial number on it though. I just bought a Korean Tokai Love rock, kept it for 2 days then swapped it for a japan made Love Rock, LS70 series, The set up and bridge I found to be supeior on the japan model, good sound from the Korean but just didn't feel the same in the action, buy it anyway you won't be disappointed, out strats a strat no kidding. I am only a beginner maybe someone else has a different opinion,
