Before I go and sell the farm, I just want to make sure this is what it is. Are newer Tokai Goldstar Strats made in Korea or Japan?
I'd rather not let this slip away. I will be paying the equvalent of $420 for this.

I have a couple new Japanese Goldstars, and I was wondering what year, if any, was being copied by the current crop of Tokai Strats? (AST50s or AST33s) Looks like a 57 maybe? I know little about 'em, but they sure are nice...

Does $420 seem like a reasonable price for this? I have no idea what the new ones cost in American currency...or any currency for what its worth.

I find that in Canada there are no serial Nos. on MIJ or MIK Fender copies. There is also no model no. on them. The only way to tell is by quality. You can definately tell when you compare them side by side. I can by a MIJ strat or Tele new for $325.00 (no case) because nobody is buying them.
