Practically mint ... I just finished a fret leveling and polish when I took these shots. It's really an incredible piece! Thanks for all the info you guys provided or I would have never purchased it!

Are the pup covers and tailpiece aluminum on these? They appear to be chrome plated and the tailpiece is not lite enough to be aluminum...

No, only the higher models got an aluminum tailpiece. This might be true for the nickel plated hardware, too, at least at that time.
