Sign up for an account ( it's free) at www.photobucket.com

upload your photo's to that site, then post copied links to your photo's
directly into the txt of your message

Have a try and see how you get on

I have been having problems too posting pics. I found mention in another thread of how to do it,

" You see all the options when you post??
well use the Img button...(it will appear on the post)
then put the link to the image, then hit Img again
no space between the Img's and the link"

but it doesnt seem to work for me, for some reason.

Anyone able to explain what the problem may be? I know I can simply post the URL, but how to get the pic to automatically display in the posting? I have some pics of my newly acquired 1985 LC60 that I would like to post . . . .

That's the link to your photo album on the Yahoo site:

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/nvilletel/detail?.dir=e864&.dnm=108dscd.jpg&.src=ph

The direct link to the picture has to end in either .jpg or .gif in order to work with the tag:

That's the direct link of your picture in your Yahoo album (right-click on it and check its properties), so this provider prevents external linking and embedding of the pictures in the forum software with a session ID that is added at the end of the link. You should choose another provider who doesn't do that, e.g. Photobucket or Lilypix, or maybe your internet provider already offers you free web space, too.

Just yesterday I noticed that the the TDPRI forum has an option for each registered user to upload pictures up to 175 KB size for free, but I haven't tested yet if they allow external links to these pictures:

Okay...I just signed up with photobucket and want to see if I can post an image of my recently acquired Tokai V. If it works, it's easier than I thought.

Here's my test picture in that new photo album, looks like everything works fine. The maximum web space is 5 MB, and the direct links are listed underneath each picture (even with the necessary forum tabs and a button to copy it to your clipboard):

I want an LS60 like the one that Skybone has.... shame they dont do them in that color anymore

I have a Nailbomb on order to go in my 82 Greco. What BKP's are in your guitars Skybone?

Bluey has a set of Black Dog's, and the LS60 has a chrome covered set of Emerald's. I also have a set of Crawlers in another guitar.

Bluey's my main guitar, as the BD's help to give me the sound I'm after, and cut through the mix like a hot knife through butter. They sound hotter and more "alive" than any other pickup I've ever used, even though they're only 8.2k(n) & 10k(b) respectively.

The Emerald's are bright and punchy, at 10k(n) & 12k(b), they're a wee bit hotter, but still have that kind of "vintage" vibe I like. Again, they sound hotter and more "alive" than many other pickups out there, and really suit the guitar that they're in.
