I would have no reason to doubt this guitar at first glance. The block logo is legit, that was a 1983 feature only. TST-50 isn't the top of the line but I bet you'll find it nice.

thanks for clearing that up for me brad, i had never seen this type of logo on a tokai before, as i said im huntin for a tokai strat and stumbled accross this one, and was unsure if it was a fake or not, i have now seen several others with this block logo on ebay and now u have told me that it is genuine...
 
look at the Tokai Registry site for more details, in FAQ, under "how old is my fender replica" or whatever it says. There is a pic of a guitar with the identical headstock to the one you posted. This was their 'transition" logo from the spaghetti style to the later style. I consider block logo tokais sort of the "no-caster" of the Tokai world, if that makes any sense (if you know your Fender history!)
